Who provides resource persons for FDPs on AI in Tamil Nadu?

MRL Tech Solutions Pvt Ltd is invited by engineering colleges as the resource person for faculty development programmes on artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, IoT, cyber security and full stack development.

The company was founded in 2019 and is based in Urapakkam, Chennai. The team has delivered more than 250 workshops, value-added courses and faculty programmes at over 60 engineering colleges across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andhra Pradesh.

Colleges that have invited us as resource persons

  • SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur
  • SRM Valliammai Engineering College, Kattankulathur
  • Kings Engineering College, Irungattukottai

How the arrangement works

THE COLLEGE

Organises the programme

The department handles registration, scheduling, venue and documentation, and sets the dates around its own academic calendar. Certificates are issued in collaboration with the college, in the format its records require.

MRL TECH SOLUTIONS

Delivers the sessions

We supply the resource person, the session plan and the technical content, and adapt the depth to the participants' current level. Faculty receive materials, code and resources they can take into their own classrooms.

Duration and mode

3 DAYS TO ONE WEEK

Set by the department

Length depends on the depth the department wants and the time available in the calendar. Shorter programmes suit an overview of a domain; a full week allows hands-on work and time for participants to build something themselves.

ONLINE OR ON CAMPUS

Whichever suits the cohort

Online works well for programmes spanning several departments or open to faculty from other institutions. On campus is better where sessions involve hardware, lab work or close supervision.

Which topics can the FDP cover?

DomainWhat the sessions cover
Artificial Intelligence & Machine LearningFoundations, model training and evaluation, deep learning, practical use in coursework and student projects
Generative AI & LLMsHow language models work, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic AI, and using these tools responsibly in teaching
IoT & Embedded SystemsESP32 and microcontrollers, sensors, connectivity, cloud dashboards, designing lab exercises around real hardware
Cyber SecurityNetworking and Linux fundamentals, cryptography, ethical hacking, web application security, digital forensics, incident response
Full Stack DevelopmentJava and web fundamentals, front-end and back-end, database design with SQL and MySQL
Digital MarketingSEO, analytics and tag management, paid advertising, content strategy, campaign measurement

The topic and depth are agreed with the department before the programme is scheduled.

What participating faculty receive

Certificate

Issued in collaboration with the host college, in the format the college's own documentation requires.

Session materials

Slides, code, datasets and reference resources, provided so faculty can revisit the content after the programme ends.

Reusable teaching content

Material designed to be taken into participants' own classrooms and lab exercises, not just used during the FDP.

What the college provides

For an on-campus FDP: a computer lab or seminar hall with internet access, and a projector or display.

For hands-on IoT sessions, hardware kits can be supplied by MRL Tech Solutions or arranged by the college. For online delivery, the college hosts the meeting platform and shares access with participants.
